Drag the apex dot of a row to move it in/out, the end dots to widen or narrow it (Shift-drag one end for an uneven spread).
Drag a chair sideways to nudge it along its row, or the teal dot between a desk's two chairs to slide them together. Drag the title to reposition it.
Double-click any handle (or the title) to reset it β€” or use the per-row boxes below.

StagePlan

Design and print seating charts for any ensemble β€” orchestra, concert band, big band, chamber group, or anything in between.

The four tabs

  • Setup β€” pick a preset (Concert Band, Big Band, Symphony…) or just set how many rows you want, then start placing people. Add the chart title and, if you like, a photo of your stage as a background.
  • Edit β€” choose a tool, then click chairs on the chart to hide them, add/remove music stands, recolour them, or type a name. You can also stamp instrument labels and drop in percussion, piano, amps and other large items.
  • Layout β€” nudge any row or single chair to an exact spot by dragging the handles right on the chart.
  • Export β€” print or save a PDF, download a PNG image, or copy a share link to send someone.

Worth knowing

  • Your charts live in this browser only. πŸ“ My charts won't follow you to another computer or phone β€” to keep or share a chart, Export a PDF/PNG or use Save (Export tab) to download a file you can re-open later.
  • Drag the conductor to slide the whole chart around. Click it in the Edit tab to rename the podium.
  • Changed your mind? The ↩ undo / redo buttons at the top-left of the chart step back through everything.
  • The + / βˆ’ zoom buttons just magnify the screen for a closer look β€” they don't change what gets printed.
  • Need an unusual orchestra? + Custom orchestra (Setup) builds one from standard score shorthand.
